Historical Florida ~ Lighthouses and Forts
From time to time, our nation's oldest city will be featured, circa 1565. The Old City is of course, St. Augustine! I lived there for just under 3 years. Not much changes there, which is nice when it otherwise seems like change is constant. Note that St. Augustine is technically in North Florida.

Volusia County Social Groups
A great big blog welcome to you!
Here's the plan, we'll start off sharing some organized groups. Then, we'll share Things to Do in East Central Florida on the basis of sports, social, cultural, and other activities. Note whether these are private, pubic, pay or free Things to Do. There's always a very interesting mix of events and activities throughout the year in this area.
Daytona Beach, Ormond, Holly Hill, South Daytona, Port Orange (not to mention Flagler to the north and New Symrna/Edgewater to the south) have a wealth of Things to Do posted on their websites. Things to Do in East Central Florida intends to gather all of this great information together in one convenient blog... just for you!
Starting off, HSC is awesome! Singles and not-so-singles can join by visiting the website listed here. After that, you're on the mailing list and can choose to attend events or even host your own! Activities range from biking on the beach to concerts to happy hour... and much more.
